Analysis for Windows (http://cuylaerts.net/)
Calculates 2D and 3D trusses and frames. The resulting forces and stresses are visualized for each member. All compressed members are tested for buckling.

AnsKeys HotKeys v2.0 (http://www.padtinc.com/support/freesw/anskeys/default.htm)

Vendor description: AnsKeys HotKeys v2.0 is a Visual Basic program which will provide hot-keys for commonly issued commands and hide/unhide the ANSYS process status dialog box.

This program only works on PCs and has been tested with Windows and ANSYS 6.0/6.1/7.0. This version of allows full customization of all the keys.

FRANC2D (http://www.cfg.cornell.edu/software/franc2d_casca.htm)
FRANC2D is a two dimensional, finite element based program for simulating curvilinear crack propagation in planar (plane stress, plane strain, and axisymmetric) structures. CASCA is a simple pre-processor for FRANC2D. Other 2D finite element programs can be used as a pre-processor for FRANC2D provided the data can be converted to FRANC2D input. We have some translators available that will convert commercial 2D finite element data to FRANC2D input.

FRANC2DL (http://www.cfg.cornell.edu/software/franc2dl.htm)
FRANC2DL is a version of FRANC2D that is able to simulate layered structures. Note that if you run the MSWindows version, you can run from the CMD shell with the -mem flag to allocate additional memory, i.e. "c:/franc/f2d.exe -mem 100000000". There are limits to the amount of memory that can be requested. If the model will not solve, you can reduce the size of the mesh.

FRANC3D/Classic (http://www.cfg.cornell.edu/software/franc3d_osm.htm)
FRANC3D/Classic Version 3.2 is a work-station based FRacture ANalysis Code for simulating arbitrary non-planar 3D crack growth that has been under development since 1987. OSM (Object Solid Modeler) is a pre-processor to FRANC3D/Classic for building the initial geometric model. FRANC3D/Classic provides a mechanism for representing the geometry and topology of 3D structures with arbitrary non-planar cracks, along with functionality discretizing or meshing the structure, 2) attaching boundary conditions at the geometry level and allowing the mesh to inherit these values, and 3) modifying the geometry to allow crack growth, but with only local remeshing required during crack growth. The simulation process is controlled by the user through a graphical user-interface, which includes windows for the display of the 3D structure and a menu and dialog-box system for interacting with the program. FRANC3D/Classic is not tied to a particular numerical analysis scheme or program, and is able to create either surface or volume meshes. Consequently, any 3D boundary or finite element program, capable of handling arbitrary crack geometries, could be used to determine the structural response.
