The free VERTEX Viewer software allows you to view and print the existing VERTEX 3D-models, the connected 2D-drawings and distinct VERTEX 2D-drawings.

You can also view and print rasterized drawings made with VERTEX Light Works visualization option.

There are plenty of utilities that will convert a plot file to G-Code but this one is novel in that it converts a scanned image of a drawing into G-Code without the need to vectorise or trace anything. The whole process is done by hardware & software. The steps required are:

1. Scan the drawing
2. Load the scan into a graphics program such as Corel
3. Print the drawing specifying the Epson LX80 dot matrix printer.
4. Print to File (so you do not need to have that old fashioned printer, just the driver which comes with Windows).
5. Process the print file through Scan2CNC which will translate the printer file into G-Code. The toolpath will replicate the printer file so it will be raster cuts in the x direction with y axis step overs between cuts.

You can scale & manipulate the image in Corel if you wish & the print file can be scaled as it is translated into G-Code.

Utilities included in this package:

• PADDER which inserts blank spaces between the elements of a line of G-Code. N24G01X12.357Y-8.278Z-4.50F300. becomes: N24 G01 X12.357 Y-8.278 Z-4.50 F300.
• WRAPPER which wraps a normal planar toolpath around a cylinder so that XYZ becomes XAZ. You specify the relationship between y movement and A axis rotation.
• LIFTER. It lifts a toolpath off the XY plane onto the YZ plane. This is needed if you have a normal 3-D CAD/CAM program and a right angle adapter for your VMC.
• RELATER. This converts a Fanuc Absolute (G90) file to a Relative (G91) file. This is often needed when a file uses calls to subroutines.

These utilities are freeware and the Clarion 2.1 source code is included. Help is built into the program, sample scan files & a text file explaining how to use the program are included.

Mapping Tools For all AutoCAD Family
Read the quick and dirty manual in the Manual folder first, and do whatever it says. AcadTRK is a series of advanced AutoLisp & Menus and mapping tools that has been used by me beside many companies. For instance, it reads XYZ files, and write xyz to files. The tools are mostly based on construction surveying, total station based land surveying, and some of the utilities to enhance AutoCAD in turn ArcCAD. There are about 20 programs for your pleasure.

There is an installation manual also. The tools use grad for angle, and North = 0, clockwise direction. So, who would like to use degree or others are to be careful.

The lisps has recently was translated into English in about 20 minutes from Turkish. So, there mihght be some spelling errors as well as something still remains in Turkis, and sorry for that.
